 I had never been in Colombia, yet heard all the stories. At first you would think, for security reasons a big hotel chain would be the way to go.
104 Art Suites is located in the Northern part of Bogota, quiet safe, close enough to all the action. If you want to sleep, you will sleep great! It is about 1 year old. Previously an apartment building. There are only 20 suites in this hotel. NO ROOMS, SUITES! Each room personally designed by a different Colombian artist. Clean,clean clean. You have an armed guard at the door 24/7. Front door is always locked for safety. An in-house driver sits at the curb 24/7. The staff will all know you by name within the first day. Front desk staff (Dianna, Fabian,Walter)excellent.In house Manager Marcela awesome! I stayed in the Penthouse suite, which included a fireplace, awesome for a chilly night, and jacuzzi. Water pressure excellent on top floor. HOT WATER!! Rates include breakfast(eggs anyway, fesh fruit, great coffee), Excellent service! Also, you can use #1 Fitness Gym in Colombia, BodyTech, 2 blocks away, no extra charge. Reliable/fast Internet access from your room included.Rooms have a minibar/toiletries(reasonablely priced). Food selection for the restaurant, excellent!Try the Trucha al ajillo, and empanadas.Thank you Patricia. If you need something ironed, back in 20 min. I can't wait to return, and stay in a different suite/different artist. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
